Finally a wine from South Africa that I did like!!!

Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine
Chardonnay, 2005

A femine, elegant barrel-fermented Chardonnay Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine

A vibrant fusion of flinty freshness, lime blossom and refined ruby grapefruit tones with a hint gooseberry. Delicate and elegantly structured with nuances or roasted almond and vanilla. Fantastic with seafood. Remind me of a complex albarinho wine

A bit expensive for being SA (and drinking it in SA) but excellent anyway

South African wines are slowly capturing the market. I went to Cape Town for honeymoon last summer, and my tour organizer also arranged a visit to Perdeberg Winery (http://www.perdeberg.co.za). We tasted so many varieties there and bought SAAM Mountain Sauvignon Blanc, my favorite wine. It has an amazing taste. These wines are now available everywhere around the world, and I would suggest you try the SAAM Mountain Sauvignon Blanc.
